Work experience at USB2U
We have had a student join us this week from NSB Sixth Form (Northampton School for Boys).
Imogen joined Sara our Creative Marketing Manager, to see exactly how marketing works at USB2U.
Here's how it went.
With a small marketing team, there is a good opportunity to see how all parts work, Sara is involved in all creative processes from product photography to mail outs and digital marketing. This means a great opportunity for Imogen to see all type of marketing!
Some of the tasks Imogen has completed this week include:
Completing a design challenge, creating a logo for product printing
Photography of a range of products
Creating an article based campaign with social media elements
We have had a great week and have enjoyed showing Imogen the behind the scenes of marketing but also the whole USB2U company.
We've asked Imogen for some feedback on her experience working with us this week:
" Over the past week working with USB2U, I have had the opportunity to gain real-world insight into the marketing and media industries. From designing my own logo to choosing the right promotional producst to apply it to- including a bamboo cable kit, ring light, phone stand, and compact power bank- I have learned how strategic product selection plays a key role in brand visibility and audience engagement.
I also wrote a full promotional article, developing skills in content writing, email marketing, and persuasive copy writing tailored for events and campaigns. This experience has deepened my understanding of how brands communicate through multiple channels- combining visuals, messaging, and product design to create memorable results through their driven campaigns.
It's been a valuable introduction to the fast-paced, creative world of marketing- and a great step forward in building my confidence, creativity, and commercial awareness.
