Marketing Executive - Full Time

Overall Responsibility

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven Marketing Executive to join our in-house marketing department. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Development, the successful candidate will be producing a range of predominantly digital marketing materials, as well as working on offline strategies when required.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and tech-savvy individual with a desire to succeed and expand their knowledge and skills in the ever-changing online space.

You would be responsible for a range of marketing activities, including

  • Managing the website
  • Actively managing all social media channels
  • Planning, running and monitoring of email marketing campaigns
  • Preparing and distributing blog articles and press releases
  • Helping to organise and coordinate projects, product or service campaigns
  • Co-ordinating events and exhibitions
  • Driving organic traffic to the website by creating and posting relevant content. Search Engine Optimisation is one of the most important responsibilities so you are required to demonstrate experience in this area.
  • Liaising with external agencies to manage our web development, SEO and PPC performance
  • Running paid advertising campaigns through Google and Facebook/Instagram

You will be expected to be flexible and willing to adapt to sometimes fast changing priorities. This job is full of variety and you’ll need to be able to handle many tasks simultaneously, so good organisational skills are important.

In addition, you could also be asked to work on tasks such as competitor research, direct mail campaigns or promotional events. While most of your time you will be office based, you may need to attend trade shows or events from time to time so will need to be willing to travel.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Marketing or Digital Marketing qualification
  • Understanding & “on the job experience” in SEO and content marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Very high attention to detail and a passion for high standards of work
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desirable Skills

  • Experience and understanding of AdWords PPC.
  • Experience in Google Analytics.
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign
  • A basic understanding of photography.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role and either a bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent. Exceptions may be made for a candidate on submission of a worthy work experience.

Sales Account Manager - Full Time

Overall Responsibility

USB2U, a leading supplier of technology-based promotional products is looking to add to its busy sales team based in Northampton.

The jobholder will be responsible for managing existing customer enquiries and securing new accounts from inbound quote requests. 

You would be responsible for a range of marketing activities, including

  • Determining client requirements and providing tailored quotations
  • Closing leads that have been generated by various marketing activities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Securing repeat business and ensuring accounts remain active
  • Project managing the client’s order from start to finish
  • Attending events where necessary

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and confident
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Desirable Skills

  • Some experience in a customer facing role
  • Some experience of sales and/or relationship management
  • Some experience of using Salesforce.com or other CRM systems

Operations Assistant - Full Time

Overall Responsibility

Assisting the Operation Team Leader and working as part of the Operations Team with responsibility for processing and completing all orders that arrive from either our
Far East suppliers or in-house Print Production Team. You will have daily contact with the Sales Team, Management, Suppliers and Customers.
There will also be other ad hoc duties as defined by your line manager.

Keys Areas

  • Handling Far East & UK shipments and preparing for processing.
  • Taking payment details and processing card payments
  • Processing Royal Mail, UPS (or other courier labels)
  • Packing and despatching orders
  • Undertaking QA checks
  • DataloadingUSB Memory sticks
  • Picking stock for UK print/engraving
  • Email and telephone contact with customers
  • Assisting with the general maintenance of the warehouse

Skill Set / Qualifications

  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise and manage workload
  • Attention to detail
  • PC skills – specifically email. In-house training will be provided on Salesforce, USB2U’s CRM system.
  • Good telephone manner when dealing with customers
